Because the tires will still be in good shape when you sell the car or trade it in. If you buy a 45,000-mile tire, you’ll have to replace the tires before you sell or trade the car. A discount store, on the other hand, is much less likely to take the time to get to know you and much more likely to focus on the short-term savings of 45,000-mile tires, which will cost you more in the long run.
